Counseling
Counseling is a process that involves a collaborative relationship developed through what Carl Rogers called the three core conditions – Empathy, Congruence, and Unconditional Positive Regard. Empathy is the ability to understand what another person is feeling as they sense it in the here and now. Congruence is also referred to as genuineness, the ability to enter into an authentic relationship in such a way that the internal and external worlds are experienced as one. In addition, Unconditional Positive Regard is an essential component of the therapeutic process, as the fundamental core of a healthy relationship is acceptance, both for self and other. Our primary focus is Outpatient Counseling for Adults and Adolescents.

Mindfulness Training
An additional tool for achieving mental and physical wellness is meditation, which can best be described through the concept of neuroplasticity, the capacity of neurons and neural networks in the brain to change their connections and behavior in response to various stimulations. There is an abundance of neuroscientific research that shows how processes in our brain underlie complex functions such as movement, sensation, memory, emotion, consciousness, and thought. Meditation is one of the most effective ways to trigger this reaction by strengthening the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for emotional regulation, judgment, thought analysis, and regulating our decision-making process.
